PDRN is a component produced by finely cleaving and purifying DNA extracted from the germ cells of salmonid fish. The similarity in DNA base composition between humans and salmon is reported to be approximately 97%.
PDRN is made up of small DNA fragments.
Even with the same salmon-derived DNA components, physical properties vary depending on the length of the DNA chain and the formulation. PDRN generally consists of relatively small DNA fragments ranging from approximately 50 to 1,500 kDa and has lower viscoelasticity than high-molecular-weight PN formulations. Therefore, it does not remain at the injection site like a gel for a long time but primarily degrades within the tissue to transmit regenerative signals. Skin bulging immediately after the treatment is also relatively less pronounced, though the degree varies depending on the product's concentration and formulation.
