PCL Filler

PCL Filler

PCL (polycaprolactone) is a material that has long been used as a surgical suture. Ithas been confirmed to gradually degradeand be completely absorbedwithin the body, and based on this safety profile, its use has expanded to the field of cosmetic surgery.

PCL filler consists of very small PCL beads suspended in a gel (CMC, carboxymethyl cellulose). Immediately after injection, the gel fills the treated area to restore volume, and subsequently, the PCL stimulates collagen production.

So the mechanism by which volume is maintained is different. With hyaluronic acid fillers, the injected material remains in place, but with PCL fillers, newly produced collagen fills that space. It becomes more firmly established over time, and lasts that much longer.

Why PCL Filler

Three Ways PCL Fillers Differ

Although they share the same name, "filler,"
the way they create and maintain volume differs.

Stimulation of Collagen Production
01

Immediate and long-lasting effects at the same time

In the early stages of the procedure, the CMC gel provides volume, and after two months, the PCL stimulates the production of new endogenous collagen, which then provides volume.

The Process by Which CMC Gel Volume Is Replaced by Collagen Volume
02

Another Benefit of Collagen Fillers

Type 1 and Type 3 collagen, produced in response to PCL stimulation, not only provide a volumizing effect but also support the dermal layer of the skin, thereby improving elasticity.

Duration
03

Long-lasting

While standard hyaluronic acid fillers typically last 6–12 months, PCL fillers last for 18 months or longer. They are recommended for those who find it difficult to visit the clinic frequently or who want long-lasting results from a single treatment.

Treatment Areas

PCL Filler Treatment Areas

It is primarily used in areas that require volume and contouring over a large surface area.
The injection depth and volume vary depending on the area.

Forehead
Guan Zi
Cheekbone
Fate
Front ball
Cheek
Marionette
tip of the chin
Jawline

We do not use PCL fillers on the lips or under the eyes.
This is because the skin is thin in these areas, so the particles may be felt. We recommend using a soft hyaluronic acid filler for these areas.

.

Check the product and capacity

We verify the authenticity of the products used before the procedure and open them in your presence, and we transparently disclose the volume (cc) being injected.

Online Treatment Report

Since this is a long-lasting procedure, keeping records is important. By documenting the procedure details and changes in your face in an online report, you can objectively track your progress over several months.

Notice

Please follow these guidelines after your procedure.

  • 1

On the day of the procedure, please avoid touching or rubbing the injection site vigorously. It takes time for the shape to settle.

  • 2

Please avoid alcohol, strenuous exercise, and saunas for 24 hours after the procedure. Doing so may cause swelling and bruising to worsen.

  • 3

Please avoid vigorous massage, skin care treatments, and hot compresses on the treated area for two weeks following the procedure. If a separate massage is required, we will provide specific instructions after the procedure.

  • 4

Swelling usually subsides within 2 to 3 days, and bruising usually subsides within 1 to 2 weeks.

  • 5

The volume immediately after the procedure is due to the gel; some of it is absorbed and the volume decreases. Afterward, collagen builds up, and the final result is achieved over a period of 2 to 3 months.

  • 6

Unlike hyaluronic acid fillers, there is no dissolving agent. Therefore, we recommend starting with a smaller amount than needed and then adding more after observing the results.

  • 7

If you experience severe pain, paleness, or a change in skin color at the treatment site, please contact the hospital immediately. These symptoms require prompt attention.
